Main Fields of Activity

Research Scientific Institute of Agriculture was founded in 1958. The Institute has 44 employees: 29 – occupied in science, 2 – doctor of science, 15 – candidate of science.
Institute has 4 departments, hospital, extra-mural post-graduate course. In 1977-1999 4 post-graduates have defended a thesis.
Institute possesses budget financing. Besides, The World Bank finances two themes in a form of grant, which have won the competition, concerning to the problems of conducting agriculture and optimal dimensions of economy.
As to the planned economy, Institute has carried out various researches: centralization of agriculture production of the Republic, specialization of intereconomical co-operation, increase of labour productivity in rational use of economical lever, rational use of machine-tractor park, industrial funds, increase of economical effect of irrigated farms, rational use of labour and material resources, perfect in problems of prime cost of agriculture products, profit, control of agriculture industry.
At present, Institute’s subject is the formation of market relations, in particular, the elaboration of actual problems of the transition period.
Researches are carried out in a number of directions.

First direction

Taking into account the situation of the agrofood sphere of RA and the presence of various forms of properties, in the section of marzes are defined more precisely the possibilities of more effective ways of economy. Parallel searches are done for cooperation with already existing subjects of economy of co-operation, associations, public unifications and etc.

Second direction

At present agrofood system has an important specific gravity in formation of national gross output.
In order to assist the budget formation of the branch, the research group have elaborated definite suggestions for more accurate definitions of percentage rates of taxes. Works are being continued.

Third direction

| |
Market relations are carried out in case of the existing various markets. That's why the Institute's aim is to study the problems of regulation of market relations, the guarantee of providing with high effectiveness, existence, creating separate markets. At present are studied markets of land, food, raw materials and also market labour. In the future their network will be not only widened, but will be studied also the problems of mutual activity of markets.

Fourth direction

This researches concerns to the study of ecolo-economical problems as to the existing situation in the Republic, this branch gives in control very difficulty, that’s why it is necessary to carry out such an approach, which can assist to create ecologically clean environment and products of feeding.
Taking into consideration the large scale of researches, the research group starts to elaborate the suggestions preventing the most injurious phenomenon.

Fifth direction
|

This direction is the total of conducted researches, to elaborate and represent to the Ministry of Agriculture a generalized program of the main problems of conducting the agriculture. Taking into account the duration and complication of such researches, the Institute's aim is to use also some other foremost specialists in the circle of the grant's sum. The preliminary results makes an opportunity to hope that it'll be such a program of conducting economical problems of agriculture, which further will be widely applied in the process of agrarian policy of the Republic.

Main Results

Results of the themes that carried out the Institute is represented not only to the Ministry of Science and Culture, also to the Ministry of Agriculture, hoping for further application. Science potential participate in scientific seminars, conferences in the circle of agrarian branch where together with scientists and workers of production are discussing the problems of this branch. The specialists of the Institute makes a speech by TV and radio, they visits the Marzes and village communities, assits to increase the effect of agriculture. In the course of last 5 years the research workers of the Institute have published many articles, monographs, books more than 137 works.
