06.01.01.0224 Indices of Soil Fertility Standards for Cultivation of Agricultural Cultures (winter wheat, corn) on Irrigated Grey Meadow and Chestnut Mountain Soils: Final Report / Research In-te of Soil Science and Agrochemistry; Supervisor of studies J. A. Amirdjanian - 1995, 24p.
| |
The standards of crop capacity on arable lands of the Republic have been processed. Studies have been made on crops of winter wheat and corn on irrigated grey meadow and chestnut mountain soils of Ararat valley by method of "microareas" with the purpose to clear up the showings of soils' cropping capacity for above-cited cultures on identical level of agrotechnics and fertilization, and on this basis to establish their optimum level and interrelation. These researches showed that under above-mentioned conditions the most decisive factors are moisture, humus and nutrient substances' contain and their reserves in arable layer of the soil. These soils are poor in active nitrogen, a little better- in phosphorus, and enough good in potassium. The interrelation between cropping capacity of above-cited cultures and reserves of active nitrogen and phosphorus has been established. These soils possess high ability to absorb phosphorus and potassium. In the last years was observed decrease of active nutrient substances in soil because of cutting down of fertilizers' utilization.

06.01.01.0225 Effect of Systematic Use of Fertilizers on Main Indices of Soil's Fertility, Crop Capacity of Agricultural Cultures, on the Quality of Output in the System of Cultures' Rotation under Climatic Conditions of Mountain and Steppe Belt of Armenia: Final Report / Research In-te of Soil Science and Agrochemistry; Supervisor of studies A. S. Khachatrian - 1995, 24p.

| |
The objects of this study are carbonate and chernozems in agrochemical experimental stations of Artik and Hrazdan. Systematic use of mineral fertilizers in the system of agricultures' rotation on dry-farming lands hasn't significant effect on statistical showings of the soil. A definite increase of organic substances and active nutrient substances contain, as well as activization of biological properties have been registered. Nitrogen is a determining factor of crop capacity. The best norm of nitrogen use on spring sowings of barley and exparcet on the basis of R90K90-60kg/ha, including on barley crops - before sowing, under ploughing, and on exparcet crops - by method of spring nutrition. On winter crops of wheat and annual gross crops the best norm on the basis of R90K90-150kg/ha; the best version for 90kg/ha - before sowing, under ploughing, and for 60kg/ha - by method of spring nutrition. The chemical composition of produce, coefficients of nutrient elements use in soil and fertilizers have been studied.

N. Nuridjanian - 1995, 37p.
| |
The main purpose of carried-out investigation under field and laboratory conditions of saline solon-chaks soils improvement in Ararat valley, is the search for ways of intensification of soil improvement. It was shown that this goal may be achieved by use of carbonic acid and magnetic water. The main problem of these investigations - to increase croping capacity of these soils. This problem may be solved by chemical methods, monitoring of qualitative and quantitative salt composition, and according to that indices, choice of agricultural cultures, and application of activated magnetic and hydrodynamic waters etc. These investigations are based on monitoring of agromeliorative ecological and chemical methods of the system soil-water-plant.

| |
On the basis of newest studies have been studied macro- and micromorphological, physico-chemical, agrophysical peculiarities, as well as organic substances' peculiarities of 14 genetic types and 27 subtypes of all soils of the Republic. As a result, a generalized cut of mentioned soils was created, and a complex system of elements' statistics and substantial composition has been developed. Qualitative, quantitative indices of soils and agroecological state have under-gone systematic analysis. The results of these investigations serve as a basis for works' programming and further unification and soil cadastre up-dating.

The results of phenological observations showed that physiologically active substances-regulators of growth, have considerable effect on duration of phonostages of tomatoes. Presowing processing of seeds of "Lia" sort of tomatoes by heteroauxine and moldstin preparations N5043, 5048, 5049 and ivine together with mineral fertilizers accelerates by 2-4 days the growth of seeds. Above-cited regulators have stimulating influence on formation of generative organs (bud, flower), accelerating the time of phenological stages by 2-6 days.

By this method the production of best specimens is realized in three years (instead of five). The studies showed that in reproduction nursery garden with the aid of negative selection the typical nature is preserved and seed grain in comparison with seed grain obtainded by usual method increases crop capacity of seeds for 19.4 metric centners/ha.

In Republic's forests has been observed a mass distribution of many species of leaf-cutting beetles, in particular, odd bombyx, gold-eyed fly, silkworm, leaf-beetle etc. Absence of concrete criterium of harmfulness often leads to groundless treatment of forests, useless expenditures on forest protection measures. The task has been determined to define harmfulness parameters, species of parazites, and possibilities to increase their usefullness, selection and testing of highly effective preparations to control harmfull insects, useless for fauna, as well as warm-blooded animals.

| |
Problems of revealing of high waters flow, arised as a result of storage pond's damage, and quantitative estimation of its principal characteristics allowing to develop measures for protection from damage, have been considered in this work. Existing methods are unacceptable for this problem's solution because they are developed for low concrete dams when the water velocity, as a result of dam's break, is very low and doesn't give rise to pond's bed washout, which may resulted in transformation of high waters into mud stream. These indices' calculation leads to the complicated system of mathematical equations. A method has been developed to determine all characteristics of mud stream.

Experimental carried-out under climatic and soil conditions of Abovian and Sisian regions had a purpose to develop a technology of cultivation and post-harvesting processing of tobacco for production of raw materials according to the parameters of export condition. The results obtained showed that "Samsun 36" and "Samsun 49" sorts in both regions have high quality indices. The best raw materials were obtained under breaking of III and IV decks with size of "Samsun 36" leaves, having 28-32 cm of length and 16-18 cm of width, and "Samsun-49" leaves, having accordingly 31-34 cm and 18-20 cm. From norms of mineral feeding, the most high quality raw materials are obtained under N30 Pb60 K60 for 23,3-23,8 cm/ha harvest production.
